Women's Study Cell

With the assistance of the centre of women's study of Dibrugarh University, the college established the women's study cell in 2004 to assist women to enjoy their rights. The cell maintains effective linkages with the rural women, or other nearby colleges, Govt. departments, NGO's, concerned with social welfare and community development. Mrs. Mrinali Mahannta, Assistant-Professor is the co-ordinator of the cell.


Every year the college authority encourages meritious students by rewardinng them for their performanc in each class. The students are also rewarded by their departments for their outstanding results.


The college has common rooms for both boys and girls. There is a well developed indoor stadium. In this stadium, games such as badminton, table tennis, carrom etc. can be played at a time. There is also one canteen in the college campus.

Remedial Classes

Tutorial classes are held for weaker students to develop their skills and to enable them to improve their method of learning as per UGC rule.

Campus Interview

The college has taken initiative to hold campus interview under the career counseling cell. The institution is in touch with several public institutions and private companies. On 19th May 2012, the Hinduja Leyland Finance has conducted a campus interview and three of our outgoing B.Com. students have been selected for appointment.

The college has also organised 180 hours of free careerr coaching cum training programme for the competitive examinations with the active initiation of Directorate of Employment & Crafsman Training Institute about 223 participants attended in this programme.

Entry into Services

The college has also launched the programme of Entry into Service as per the UGC norms. In addition to the regular classes, the classes the classes of Entry into Service has been organised for the job sseking students of the college. The college has started this programme also for the benefit of the students of other local colleges.


The college has an NCC(Naval Wing) division with cadet strength of 100 cadets. The division is under the cammand of 49 NAval Unit of Dibrugarh Group Head Quater of North Easter Region(NER) directorates. Lieutenant ratul Sharma is the ANO of the institution who looks after the division. A large number of NCC cadets of our college appeared in "B" and "C" certificate examination every year.

The NSS unit of the college funnctions unnder the guidance of Dr. Jiban Borah.

Cheap Store
The Development Committee of the college has started a cheap store to satisfy the needs and requirements of text books at discount rate for the students as well as the staff of the college.
Students Welfare
1. The college has initiated certain students welfare programs for the needy, economically deprived, socially backward and meritorius students.
Every year 10 students from Commerce Stream and students from Arts Stream who fulfil certain college norms are given 70% fees relaxation for admission under the 'KALAYAN' Scheme.
2. There is also provision for cash reward for the examination toppers
Funded by the UGC, the centre provides adequate facilities to the students for the use computer, internet etc for their academic pursuits.
Computer Centre
The college also has a computer centre for the students who want to use their spare time for computer learning and other software related activities.
Educational Tour

Two educational tours to Bordua and Numaligarh refinary was arranged under the guidance of Mrs. Roonee Borthakur, Mrs. Lakhimi Dutta, Mr. Pradip Gogoi, Mr. Haren Hazarika, Mr. Kauranaga Borgohain and Mr. Ratul Dutta. The main objective of the tours was to make the students aware of the rich cultural heritage of Assam and also the insight to co-operate sector. The students visited Satra at Bardua and the Numaligarh Refinary.

Medical Facility

Medical and health check-up are held at the college premises by some local reputed doctors.

Internet Facility

All the students can avail internet facility within the campus by paying a normal fee. Wi-Fi system has also been introduced in the whole campus recently.
