Criteria for Preparation of the 1st Merit List for Admission into ITEP (BA-BEd & B.Com B.Ed), 2025–26
Sibsagar Commerce College

The First Merit List for admission into the ITEP for the academic session 2025–26 has been prepared based on the following criteria:

1. First Preference to Sibsagar Commerce College. Those candidates who selected Sibsagar Commerce College as their first preference have been considered for inclusion in the First Merit List.

2. Priority to Assam Domicile Candidates: Candidates from the state of Assam who selected Sibsagar Commerce College as their first preference have been given topmost priority. All such candidates have been shortlisted.

3. Merit-Based Selection for Other State Candidates: Candidates from outside Assam, who have given first preference to Sibsagar Commerce College have been shortlisted based on their NCET-2025 composite merit score, calculated from two compulsory subjects and one domain subject.

4. Provisional Nature of the List: Inclusion in the fist merit list does not guarantee admission. Admission is subject to successful document verification & fees payment. Any discrepancy found during the original documents (including caste & other applications certificates) verification process may result in cancellation of the seat.

5. Acceptance of Admission Offer: Candidates receiving the admission offer through the SAMARTH Portal must accept the offer online within the specified time frame. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the offer. No further claims will be entertained.

6. Payment of Fees can be made through RTGS/QR code/UPI in the given bank account number. Failure to pay will result in cancellation of admission.

7. Second Merit List: Remaining eligible candidates will be considered in the Second Merit List, subject to availability of vacant seats & based on reservation criteria...
