Sibsagar Commerce College once again proved its mettle in sports by winning the prestigious Inter-college Table Tennis competition under Dibrugarh University held at Duliajan college from 23rd October to 24th October. In that competition Sibsagar Commerce College secured 1st position and won gold medal in womens team event by defeating Dibrugarh University PG team in the finals of that tournament. The following players have represented Sibsagar Commerce College in Women s team event, Akankhya Borpuzari, Debarsana Parasar,Sania Afruz Ahmed. They also secured 2nd position and won silver medal in men s team event. The finals of men s team event was played between Sibsagar Commerce College and Duliajan college where Duliajan college defeated Sibsagar Commerce College and secured 1st position. The following players have represented Sibsagar Commerce College in men s team event, Priyanshu kakoti, Ridom Sharma, Mrinal Sarkar, Sumanshu Dowarah and also in womens singles event Akankhya Borpuzari won gold medal and Debarsana Parasar won Silver medal in that Competition.
