Programmes and achievements of the department
Department of English, Sibsagar Commerce College, has been there since the inception of the College. Presently the department has four full time Associate/Assistant Professors and one part-timer.

It has been an earnest endeavour on the part of the department to undertake number of academic and co-curricular activities. The department also undertakes various initiatives as its responsibility towards the society.

The department has been offering U.G. Major and Non-major Courses under Dibrugarh University. Besides it has been rendering its service to the Directorate of Distance Education, Dibrugarh University in UG & PG Courses and UG Course of K.K. Handique Open University. The Language Laboratory of the Department is being used for the teaching of the local languages & Spoken English.
