The Department of Commerce, Sibsagar Commerce College, celebrated 150 years of Vande Mataram with due reverence and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with the collective rendition of the national song by students, faculty members, and guests. The Principal, Dr. Saumar Jyoti Mahanta, highlighted the historical significance of Vande Mataram and its role in inspiring patriotism during the freedom struggle. Prof. Bijon Mahan, Governing Body member, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The programme was moderated by Ms. Mrinali Mahanta, Head of the Department of Commerce.
