The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sibsagar Commerce College was established on 4th June, 2004, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The IQAC aims to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
Since its inception, the IQAC has been playing a pivotal role in institutionalizing quality assurance strategies and processes. It works towards enhancing academic excellence, promoting innovative teaching-learning practices, ensuring transparency in evaluation, and fostering a learner-centric environment. The Cell emphasizes skill-based education, employability enhancement, and capacity building through institutional collaborations and linkages with industry, academia, and community organizations. It also facilitates placement support initiatives, career guidance programmes, and training activities to ensure holistic development of students. The cell also actively coordinates activities related to accreditation, documentation, and quality benchmarking. It also encourages the integration of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) into the academic framework, aiming to blend traditional wisdom with modern education for holistic learning.
To promote a quality-driven culture aimed at academic excellence, skill development, and holistic growth of students through continuous improvement, innovation and integration of Indian Knowledge System.
