On 22 August 2026, the Integrated Farming Course of Sibsagar Commerce College, Sivasagar undertook a Mass Paddy Plantation initiative in the flood-affected Dilihi Gohain Gaon as part of its flood relief activities. The programme was conducted in the presence of Principal Dr. Saumar Jyoti Mahanta, Social Activist Mr. Nitul Buragohain, Coordinator Dr. Ratul Dutta, Mr. Prafulla Saikia, Dr. Prodip Gogoi, Dr. Kauranga Borgohain, Mr. Ratul Mazumdar, and Mr. Ankur Das. More than 50 students actively participated in the plantation drive.

In continuation of the initiative, a Paddy Distribution Programme was jointly organized by the NSS Volunteers and the Integrated Farming Course students, during which paddy seedlings were distributed among flood-affected farmers of the district to support the restoration of agricultural activities.
