The Department came into existence in the year 2004 with the start of Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A). Department has started PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application) under Dibrugarh University in year 2007. In 2015, the department offers add on courses like Diploma in Computer application (DCA) and Diploma in e-commerce with a nominal fee structure for duration of 6 months. There are two Computer Labs in the department. Each lab is equipped with modern technology and has a total number of 69 Computers along with Internet Facilities and Wi-Fi facilities which can be utilized by all the students in their allotted time with proper authentication. The department also has one digital design lab with Logical circuits for students to practice during their allotted class hours.
